Here are the current class of session members. Classes refer to the year the session member will not longer be an active session member as of Dec. 31 of that year. Note: some people serve more than 1 term (term=3 years).
Session members are backbone of running the church. Please pray for them and the pastor that we are in God’s will guiding our church to be a witness to the Gospel and show love to our neighbors in Mission.

Commissioned Pastor:
Sara Core has lived in Abilene since 1977 when she moved here after attending college at Texas A&M University in College Station. Sara spent her 1st career as a Veterinarian of small animals, and owned a private practice in Abilene until her retirement in 2010. In 2020 during the pandemic, Sara heard the call to ministry, and became a Commissioned Lay Pastor in Palo Duro Presbytery of the PCUSA. She has served several congregations in the Big Country Area for the last 5 years, and became the pastor of WPC in November of 2025.
